On 17 November, Slovakia commemorates the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, a day of struggle for freedom and democracy. In today’s turbulent times, when the world’s problems can feel overwhelming, Slovak Danish Network invites you to an evening exploring how democracy is protected and lived in practice through ordinary actions of active citizens.
Constitutions and laws matter, but only when people use and defend them. Join our panel of Slovak and Danish experts and civil society representatives for a discussion on constitutions, trust, and public engagement: what democracy means in everyday life, what the two countries can learn from each other, and how we can all take part in Denmark’s strong tradition of civic associations.
📅 Date: 17th November
Panel: 18:00 to 19:00, followed by catering and networking
📍Venue: Station, next to CBS
